Summer is perfect for cooling off in the Ovens River and joining the famous river float. Autumn makes the area spectacular with colour as the elms and maples turn a fiery red. Winter brings snow play at Mount Buffalo. Spring means wildflowers and cherry blossoms are in bloom.

If you’re looking for things to do near Bright, Porepunkah makes the perfect base. While Bright is gorgeous, it can get crazy busy in peak seasons and on weekends.

We are just 10 minutes away – removed from the bustle but close enough to pop back and forth with ease.
